What could be the issues?
I went out with 2 friends the other night. Each of us has an LS1 Fbody. I took my Tazzo (Like G-tech) to see how we each did against each other. Now I know the Tazzo may not be 100% correct against a true track but it is very consistant and a good tuning tool for me. This is how things looked.
My car: Best 13.34 @ 108 2.24 60 (FTRA, K+N, Cut out open)
Adrian's car: Best 13.38 @ 106 2.22 60 (Auto car stock other than lid)
Javier's car: Best 14.1 @ 104 2.40 60 (Heads average of 8% more flow over stock from .3-.65, Cam 211/222 113, Forged bottom, EW tuning, FIPK, 2800 stall)
I'm sure you can see there are clear issues with Javier's car. Given there is no exhaust work done and the intake needs help as well, But it should at least keep up with us. Some thing just isn't right. These times were the best of 3-5 runs each. I ran Javier from a roll before I reduced my mods and walked away from him no problem..
My runs that night went like this:
13.5x @ 109x 2.35 60 (Defroster on.. DOH)
13.34 @ 108x 2.24 60 (Cooling fans on high manually DOH)
13.34 @ 107.5 2.18 60 No excuse <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
I don't know how accurate the Tazzo is, but at least it is consistent. These were back to back runs. Hence the MPH droping a little.
I know his car will definatly pick up once the exhaust is done and intake is done, but why is it sooo slow?

Javier's mods aren't working together. He's down a bunch of hp (-2 to -4mph in the 1/4) to you guys.
Just the slower ET could be loss of mid range, but loss of mph is loss of HP.
8% flow increase isn't much. As you said, it you get more in you have to get more out. Exhaust improvement might help.
My best guess is bad computer tuning, and maybe the wrong cam...or else Javier should not carry those two extra passengers.

All runs were just driver.. I forgot, he has an LS6 intake too. I know his cam isn't huge but it's got a big split, I would think that would help the lack of headers.
The Ed Wright tuning was done with the Cam/head/TC in mind
