Default How does this setup sound?

My current setup is stock ls1 heads and GM ASA cam, which is a pretty annoying cam for a daily driven car

So I don't want to spend a whole lot of money but want the best possible with my budget.

This is what I came up with so far, how do you think this cam+heads would react?

CNC Ported LS6 / LS2 Heads from Patriot

COMP Cams Xtreme XE-R Camshafts 224/230 .581/.588 .114

I was thinking of Dart 225cc heads but then these heads from patriot are like $500 cheaper, do you think it is worth that money?

those durations are ridiculous. That can't be right can it?

No, I just checked the link, the durations you want to specify are 224/230. That's more like it. Probably good midrange. Very solid cam. Should idle relatively well with a 114 LSA. Reasonable lift won't kill springs either. Sounds like a great combo. I'm sure there are plenty others out there with a 224 cam and ported LS6 heads.

Keep an eye on the sale forums and I bet you can pick up the cam & heads used for a great savings.

I don't want anything used bro, I saved a lot of money that way on this website before. Now its time to buy brand new

Besides these heads aren't too expensive for $1100 brand new.
