DCR in California

DCR in California What would be the optimal DCR for a 91 octane car? I am looking to build a LSX motor (between 454 - 473ci) and would like to run it on 91 octane or possibly some octane booster if needed. I have heard that 8.1 - 8.3 DCR is about max for a california car. Is this true?

Not exactly apples to apples motorwise but on my L98 TPI car with Dart Pro One aluminum heads I'm running 8.5:1 DCR. Using 91 octane gas. Running flat-top pistons, .035" quench and 10.73:1 compression. Live in Southern California.
well, for the most part, you know how it says "raises octane up to 7 points!" thats exactly what they mean...points. so your 91 octane just became 91.7 octane. BTW they also assume your using like 6 gallons of fuel, so add it to a full tank and...well you can guess.
