How do you take off triple springs?!?
Ok, A buddy has an LT1 with triple springs on it. We got off cylinders 1, 2, 3 and 4, but can't get the back ones off. We used the lever type spring compressor, but the normal spring compressor will not work since the "claws" can not reach the inner spring.
Does anyone have any suggestion? We're hoping that we don't have to remove the heads.
thanks
John

Unfortunately, you'll probably have to pull the heads off. A lever-type spring compressor is going to be the only thing that will work with a triple spring, AFAIK.

Moroso makes a screw on to stud HD spring compressor, it works great if your rocker studs are either 3/8" or 7/16". I am not sure if LT1 is metric threads or not but probably not anymore if this ones running triple springs.

well we decided to take the heads off. Working on LT1's suck compared to the LS1's
