Default Cam V.E. question

I was playing with PianoProd's calculator and made three different but similar cams

220/224 110/110
222/226 110/109
224/228 110/108

All have the same DCR (8.28) and IVC 40*. The EVO's are 42, 44, 46. I understand the IVC, but what does the EVO determine about the powerband? The tolerance's of some of the grinds I've seen tells me you probably wouldn't notice much of a difference between these, but I'm more interested in the valve events.

Late EVOs (e.g. 42*) help increase low end torque by keeping the pressure in the cylinder longer while early EVOs (e.g 46*) will help higher end power by giving more time to evacuate the cylinder.

Most of the big high rpm cams have EVOs up around 50* From what I've seen, a couple degree change in the EVO has much less impact on your powerband than a couple degree change in IVC. I seriously doubt that you could tell any difference in a 2* EVO change
