Because their cams are great cams, of course. You must be new. Do a search. The results should show you why. And now that you know the specs, it's not an issue. Problem solved.

It doesnt really matter if you know or not. They tell you "yes it will fit" and "no it will not". If you really really wanted to be technical about it, that would cost you around $1000 ballparked.

Buy the cams and have them doctored.

You guys running the X3/X4 should have checked PTV on your own anyway....You know it is a big cam. That part is no secret. Hard to have serious overlap and not know what is going on.

Kudos to Louis and the guys at LG for keeping everyone guessing for all these years.

Car is at LG Motorsports as we speak. I am behind a few cars, so I won't know anything until towards the end of the week. Probably by Thursday I'll know if it is only the gaskets that had failed, or if I have something else going on. If its only gaskets then they will move fwd with the install of the ported 90/90 combo and tune it for me. If I have any problems with the block I'll be swapping parts over to an SLP aluminum 402. The 402 should make 480+ rwtq and over 500 rwhp with my parts.

no problem, i'm thinking about a 402 as well, so i like to know what kind of numbers other people are getting with certain combos. i was looking at a TSP LS2 shortblock, with AFR 225's, and a 90/90 with a X3 cam.

Just got off of LG's website to make sure everyone here gets accurate specs on at least the lift part of the x3. It is .600"/.610."

No, that's what they put on the site. In actuality, all that I've seen are spec'ing out at .598. That's accurate info. You don't have to take it personally. It's not your mission in life. I'm telling you what the 2 I've seen (and 3 others I heard about) spec'ed out at. It's a .598 lift cam. LIsted at .600 because that's what the lobe is in the catalog.

Advertized specs are in NO WAY accurate. Only cam doctor or Adcole will give the "TRUE" specs.

Exemple:

TR>>> T-REX cam advertised as:

242/248 - .608/.612 - 110 lsa

While in reality it is:

i've noticed over the past couple years that companies don't usually advertise the true specs of their cams. they aren't trying to mislead anyone, it's just really hard to duplicate exact specifications many times over. i think what they advertise is the average, or "goal," of what the cam should be. it's usually really close, not perfect, but close enough. that's a really good reason to check your cam out before you install it if you think clearance is even possibly going to be an issue.
