What about the 8.1L?
Just a wondering...
the 8.1 is definately an awesome motor. i have a friend that recently bought one and is in the process of putting it in an ss 454 silverado. the only problem (w/ the f-dody swap) i can forsee is in mounting the beast. if there is a company that makes motor plates for 4th gens to do standard big block swaps, this would be pretty straight forward. next would come finding a set of headers (they actually have the standard BBC pattern ;D ). i've gotten ahold of carputing and they say that they are in beta version testing of 8.1L editing software. you should see the intake ports on this beast. they make the LS1's ports look like a cute lil mini me! with the right cam these motors should be capible of more than 450 at the wheels and much more torque. why not be the first to try it out?? we'd all love to have a guniea pig to learn from. reguards,

That cycle was then repeated 300 times! One tuff engine.
