Default WTF is wrong with my car??

my autotap had suggested that i had missfires so i decided to change out my sparkplugs, by the way i was running fairly rich before due to the injector swap from 26's to 28's. anyways, nothing was different about the plug change. when i got done the car seemed ot run fine, when i was putting it onto our trailer ot go to the track, it started missfiring badklike it was barely running and the car was shaking and whatnot. so i pulled it back into the garage and a-taped it again, i was missfiring like crazy on bank 1 on number 1,3,7 but 2,4,6,8,5 were just fine. so i pulled the wires off and eveyrhting looked good. so i made sure i had them on as far as they oculd go. and went around the block. car ran fine till the end of the streetm then the missfires started again on the same cylinders!!. so i pulled back in and pulled my number one plug. i had huge blue and green specs on the plugs, which made me think predetenation, so i swapped in a plug from the other side along with a wire form the other side. just to see if it was a bad plug or wire. started it up, ran fine for a min or two, then it wwent back to the same ol ****. 1,3,7 missfiring veyr badly. everything appears to be hooked up. but how do i go from the plugs being black as hell, to predetanating? its seems to me that in close loop mode it runs fine, then as soon as it hits open loop. it goes to crap on those three cylinders.

could it be a bad o2? or bad coil packs? help me out guys i am getting really pissed off

Well, you certainly gave alot of good info concerning your misfires, but never gave us any idea as to what has been done to the engine. From your post, I would think it is stock.

You state that you have installed bigger injectors. Your stockers are good for 400+ rwhp. Certainly not needed on a stock motor.

BTW, from your post, it would seem that you are overcamed (running very rich with lots of misfires), but again, you have not stated anything but big injectors

So, what ya got?

Switch an injector from a bad cylinder to a good cylinder and see if the problem follows.

</font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">quote:</font><hr /><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">
28.4 lbs/hr
80% duty cycle rating: 45.44 Crank HP x 8 = 363.52 Crank HP
100% duty cycle rating: 56.8 Crank HP x 8 = 454.4 Crank HP

26.4 lbs/hr
80% duty cycle rating: 42.24 Crank HP x 8 = 337.92 Crank HP
100% duty cycle rating: 52.8 Crank HP x 8 = 422.4 Crank HP
</font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">So pushing 26lbs inectors 100% would only support 358rwhp assuming 15% loss through the drivetrain.

i have a 150 wet shot, lid, cutout, ported TB and a converter. and 98 style injectors. i have tried everything i can think of, my b1s1 was reading 1.500 constantly while all my other ones are reading up and down. so i switched the 02's out and it seemed to fix itself, then i let it cool down, when i started it bac kup the same thing happened again. b1s1 was reading 1.500, which makes me think bad wiring, what do i do about it?

That's off on the injectors. If that were the case then you would be over %80 duty cycle when bone stock with 26s.

With an A4 28s will support about 475 RHWP and 26s will support about 440 RWHP (I actually pulled 480 RWHP with mine but that was running lean.)

Hope you get your misfires figured out. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
