Default Thinking of degreeing my cam in...

My cam is already installed, TR224-112. What can I take advantage of by degreeing my cam in? I can lower/raise peak power, correct? Any and all input is appreciated. I have my cam doctor sheet for all specs, also. Thanks.

Most cams have desired advance ground in the lobe and are recommended run straight up. Typically advancing brings it down a few hundred RPM. Retarding raises the band etc.. In the old 350's we use to intall every cam 4 degrees andvanced. I installed my 224 straight up and like the power band <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
