Default Need Help ASAP

Well i am going to finish up my new LS6 oil pump install tomorrow but i have a quick question. I bought a LS2 timing chain since i was going to have everything off anyway but i am kinda confused on whether or not i am going to have to set the timing again if i install the new chain. What do you guys normally do. I have tried to search but all the guys that have installed the chain are also installing a cam. I already have a cam in there and i already have a tune on the car. If i install the LS2 timing chain, am i going to have to get the timing reset? What do i have to do? Any help would be appreciated.

the stocker and the ls2 are the exact same length, line the dots up and go with it.

+1 on Rocket Cutlass post...same exact length...just a beefier chain. Shouldn't affect timing at all...LS2 gears are non-adjustable as well so dot to dot will be exactly the same as the LS1 chain. Shouldn't need any shims or anything like that either, its a thicker chain but not as big as double rollers so fits behind oil pump just like LS1. Most LS2 parts are like a version 2.0 of the LS1...they improved all the downfalls of the LS1....just sucks that not all the parts fit!

As long as you didnt roll the crank over or anything it should be straight forward and no adjustment minus dot-to-dot alignment.
