i hope i can make some good numbers with it!!!! I have the same setup plus fast 90/90....you said the tr55 were detonating i have the same plugs should i look into something else?

Sounds great...

I'm totally out of my gord here... but wouldn't it be like a downgrade to go to 5.3 heads? why wouldn't you stay with the 5.7's? or go larger?

wow way to revive an old thread.

soul TKR.. the 5.3's will give him a higher compression equaling more power.

Ah so it isn't necassarily downgrading... just raising the compression... what's the downside to doing that? I'm sure you gotta always make sure you have high octane fuel... yes? no?

yes usually higher octane but I put 91 or 93 in anyway like the manufacturer suggests, whichever I can find. and you don't want to run a boost on a real high compression motor, and I believe it is a bad idea to spray on high compression, don't quote me on that though.

Boy, talkin about bringing a thread back! I used the tr6 plug now and hopefully I dont have detonation. I havent put the car back on the rollers yet. I will be doing a leak down test later to check my compression. The car has 155K+ on it now and that could be robbing me of horsepower.

my z has 100k on it just ordered main bearings,rod bolts,rod bearing and a few other goodies to ensure some safety with this setup

prin, im going with a similar setup prc 2.5 5.3 w/ the torquer v.2 i've researched just about everything except one thing- wondering hows the vacuum assist on the brakes have any hard pedal issues?
