wow real insightful there.....let me clarify things a bit...the heads are not direct LS7 heads..built off of a set of LS6 heads but with the same components and porting of the LS7's...cam has the same specs as a Z06 and the intake is a LS7 direct intake

Ok then, try this. They cannot be the same as LS7 heads because LS7 heads have larger valves and a completely different port design. There is no possible way to take an LS6 casting and make it anywhere close to an LS7 design. An LS7 intake also will not fit LS6 heads, LS6 ports are cathedral shaped and LS7 ports are larger and rectangular.

when you say LS7 cam, you mean getting something like a Comp cam custom ground with the same specs as an ls7?

Iirc, the ls7 cam itself wouldn't work in an ls1/6

That ported MAF in your sig will work really well with the new LS7 setup. Don't listen to these guys. Port/cut the intake runners to match the LS7 heads and if you cut through a little bit, use some Quick Steel or JB Weld.

Congrats.

everyone has looked stupid at one point when it comes to cars. with all the new stuff they keep coming out with dont worry about it. it never hurts to ask a question and get an answer (no matter how stupid) but it sure can hurt to **** away alot of money on parts that wont work.

You do not recall correctly. We've done here and sold this setup to handfuls of custoemrs looking for an affordable setup that will make decent power over their LS1 camshaft and still retain good driveability. Direct bolt-on? NO. But we keep the few parts needed to do the swap in stock and sell them every day!

there'd be more JB weld than there would be cylinder head!
