How much power in in cubic inches?
I have seen threads discussing this before and I did a search but dident find a real clear cut answer.
If I was to take my set up in my sig and throw it on a 408 what do you think my peak hp and tq would be? Is it safe to say that the real gain wouldent be so much in the peak hp but more in the low and mid torque? I realize that the set up I have now wouldent balance with a larger displacement motor but I was just wondering how much power there is to gain in cubes alone.

That's a good question. I may find myself swapping all my parts from the factory 346 to an SLP hi compression 402 shortblock. I've been told and have seen a few members do the same thing. They picked up 30-40 rwhp and 60-80 rwtq. I hope this helps. Like the old saying goes, theres no replacement for displacement.

Though a 408 sounds like a great ideal it is still $4,000... I am trying to decide what the next mad after the rear end is. I want to do something big. I think im might go with the N20.
