Question rebuild

I am going to get an hpe performance kit here in the next few months. It's supposed to put out 475 or so. My engine has 95k , do i need to worry about it holding up. Is there anything i can do to make it stronger. And what tranny would be best, keep in mind i have an auto. yea i should have got a stick.

Do a compression / leakdown test to verify everythings still tight. If the results are good, then dont sweat it.

With that many miles I usually recommend replacing the lifters... That's about the only thing you need to worry about in the motor.

As for the tranny... That package will run GREAT with a 3600 Vigilante!! Mid 11's all day long...
