G5 Cam users: spring setup question I've got a G5 cam that I'm leaning pretty heavily towards installing in my 99 coupe w/ TEA Stage 2 5.3L heads, and TEA will be using Comp 987 springs on my setup, and I'm wondering if anyone here who is running the G5 has their spring setup numbers available.
I've called LGM, and they said that they normally use the 918's and do not shim the springs or anything like that. Is anyone running the G5 w/ 987 springs? If so, did you shim or anything like that to change the pressures, etc?

Re: G5 Cam users: spring setup question I would think the dual springs on the TEA heads would work very nicely with the G5. Many are using bigger more aggressive cams with the TEA heads.
Might want to ask Brian Tooley at TEA what he thinks if you have additional concerns. He's very knowledgable and helpful.
