new pushrods or not?
I am putting in a 227/227 .561 .561 114 cam in my 02 ws6 this sat. I am getting 918's tomorrow and I was wondering if I should get new pushrods. I have heard that it would be better to have a bent pushrod than a new piston. If I get hardened pushrods and they don't give it could be back if I over reved, or something unforseen happened. What do you all think I should do? What would the advantages be to getting hardened pushrods? Or am I just worrying too damn much about my brand new car that I am about to void the warranty on??? lol

I have heard that a new pushrod is better than a new piston too <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> . The hardened pushrods is more of an A4 thing. I have 16 stock pushrods if you bend one anyways.
Good luck on the cam install. I have a couple of spring compressors you can borrow if you need one. I wont be able to help cause the family is coming in Friday. I also have a leakdown tool for keeping the valves up when you do the springs.
Just give my home number a call if you run into any snags.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it. I would like to borrow that stuff from ya. I hope everything goes good. It looks like it could be pretty easy, just time consuming.
