Default Bad o2 sensor symptoms?

I'm going to autotap tomorrow, but will it tell me if my o2 sensor is bad?

I got a Service Engine Soon light, and my car is sputtering, and wants to die.

Could it be a bad o2 sensor? What are the symptoms?

I checked my plugs, and they are fine, but the car smells ungodly rich.

Thanks.

Just read the voltages in autotap on the 2 front sensors. If its thrown a code, read it and it'll most likely tell you what is going on in there.

At wot both voltages should be around .890, and both b1s1 and b2s1 should read about the same.
