Cam. Idle Quality, and CID
I want an aggressive cam, but not have a too radical idle.

Unfortunately the two go hand in hand.
I have a M6 Formula that is mostly stock. I am looking into building a stronger 346 cid, 382 cid Lunati kit, or an all-out 427 cid engine. I want an aggressive cam, but not have a too radical idle. I have been playing with a program called Engine Analyzer Pro and different cam durations and LDA. They say an estimated 15 inches vaccuum with idle well, but any low with idle rough. I want a streetable idle. I know a rough idling cam in a 346 will be alittle smoother in a 382 and so on. So if all you non stock engine can tell me your cid, cam profile, vacuum reading and idle sound. Dyno would be cool too

If you go Hydraulic you should be ok, but you won't get the power that a solid will provide. However, Lou at LGMotorsports has built several strokers lately and could probably give you some advice. He built a very drivable 418 before he built my 418 Solid Roller. It idled well and made something like 488 RWHP and 497 RWTQ if I remember.
