Default Which Valve Springs for MMS 229 Cam?

I just bought it used on sunday. Its a single pattern cam with 230 duration at .050" lift and .578" lift ground with 114 lsa. I think its similar to the comp cams XE lobes. Its ground by comp cams.

I was thinking of using 918 springs with stock retainers and setting the rev limiter to 6800rpms. Should this work?

Also might want to check out the Rev dual spring kit. I think MMS also sells a dual spring kit too. I know the REV kit doesn't require machining the heads.

What spring pressures does MMS recommend for that cam?

I'm just finishing my MMS 5.3 head / 229 cam install. I got the Rev dual springs with them. They are some stout *****. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
