I recently purchased a GM Hotcam kit (new, in an open box)on Ebay. Everything looks to be in order, but the retainers look sketchy. They are red in color and appear to be stamped steel. Can anyone with this cam tell me if these are what normally comes with the kit (other cam kits retainers appear to be machined)?

Those arent retainers those sre spring seats. With the hotcam you reuse your stock retainers.
