Default 6.0L and LS1 cranks

does anyone know what the differents is between the two. ARE told me that the 6.0L was longer for a 4L80E but Valvegod said that the longer ones only came in 99-00. i am wondering if i buy this 2001 6.0L that had a 4L80E from my uncle if the crank will fit. if not then i have to find a LS1 crank to use and that will increase cost. does anyone know for a fact.

Valvegod is correct, what you will find on the 2k1 6.0 with the 4L80E is a spacer between the flexplate and crank, toss the spacer and use your 5.3 flexplate. I have a mint 99-2k 6.0 crank FS any takers?

So that crank would work fine in a 6.0L block with a 4l60E using ls1 rods/pistons??

What are you asking for it?

the crank i have came out of a 2k 6.0 which the rear crank flange is aprox. .300 thicker,this crank i have is only good for the 4l80E trucks. All 2k1 and up 6.0s use the same crank as the LS1s and 5.3

There are different part numbers for each crank from GM, 2001+. I don't know what the differences are.
