Default Head/Cam ?????'s

I'm going to do a H/C swap maybe in December. I have paid for the heads and cam, talked to the guy who will do my dyno tuning, and I know what the install will cost. What am I going to need to finish the job? I've heard that there are only a few companies that make the head gaskets and head bolts, but I don't know who they are or how much they cost. Let me know your thoughts. I only want to do this one time! Thanks! <img border="0" alt="[chug]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_chug.gif" />

ARP makes a set of headbolts for the LS1, but I am not sure about a aftermarket gasket manufaturer.

If you only want to do this one time (this being a heads/cam install) go with the stock GM bolts and stock GM gaskets. Cheap, good, OEM quality.

If you see yourself trying different heads later on, get ARP bolts. They'll cost you $100 more now but are reusable later if you do have to take the heads off down the road.

It sounds like you just need the stock stuff from GM tho. Try our sponsor SDPC, they have everything listed for a fair price.

Here's a link for the set of gaskets

Here's the link for one head's worth of headbolts

Both are reusable, will stand up better to the blower I want to add, and the studs don't require cleaning out the holes if I ever want to swap or remove the heads again.....
