LQ9 vs. LS1 ??
Ok..
I'm still learning...
I've been pondering this for awhile..doin all the homework i can.
If you had 2 engines..LS1 and LQ9.
The LS1 has a cam,ls6 intake,and bolt ons..
Just ballpark, how much more power would you net from a LQ9 w/ cam,ls2 intake, bolt ons?
Is the LQ9 just an iron version of the LS2?
I've seen the article were GMHTP took an LS2..added L92 heads L76 intake and a cam..made 530+ (i forget) hp....
Could you make those same gains w/ the LQ9,L92 heads, cam, etc?
Yes i know the LQ9 would be heavier, but like i said...homework...wanna learn as much as I can before i do anything

I would also like to know. I'm in same shoes as you are man. It's funny cause it started with just wanting a cam now I think I can pull it off with a Lq9 if the price is right. Please all the info would help.

My buddy... "2slot/a" is dropping in an LQ9 with absolute speed stage II heads, .612 custom grind cam, diamond pistons, new crank, underdrive kit.... and a bunch of other bolt-ons...it should be up and running within the week. I'll only have 9:1 compression, but that's to leave room for alot more air in the future...
I'll let you know what it puts down through the 9".
