I believe it's for higher compression and cost less, of course they would need to be ported and bigger valves to help so cost could be the same as LS6 cnc heads. I got LS6 cnc 59cc, 2.02in/1.57ex w/ 231/237 cam. no issues here for ptv, not sure about the 2.04in on the 5.3 heads milled to 59cc. I would think that would require flycutting.

I run TEA stage 3 5.3L heads with great results. They are milled down to 57cc too. They are like $2100. Awesome head IMO. They are a good match for my cam, i have awesome low end power and a decent top end.

also keep in mind that the flow numbers you see on websites are often not what you actually get. i personally have no freaking idea which heads i will go with when its time to upgrade.

i know that but the warhawk heads arent stock either. with the trickflows i know you need to get different rock arms making the price much higher than it looks. what about the RHS heads? those look good but at almost 4 grand for a set it seems a bit too much for me for just ls1 heads.
