Ok im getting in my car to go to work today, start it up and look, the low oil light is on? jump out and check it, sure enough is low. Why i dont now, it hasnt been burning oil hasnt been leaking latly?
Well i put a quart in, another and on the dip stick it reads in range now (2 quarts!?) get in and start it up and the low oil light is still on??
ANy ideas? did a pump go out not letting it circulate?
The car is turbocharged with a new engine with 3,500 miles on the new engine.

Jonathan.....there is a plug that goes into the side of the oil pan on the passenger side. Make sure you didn't roast the wires or something. This is your oil level sensor.
You may be eating oil throught the intake tract. My Turbo Tech kit was bad about that until I did some rerouting of the PCV lines. The problem is that the PCV line actually runs down to the intake side of the turbo (right after the air filter).
This results in major oil suckage into the intake tract. If you pull off your intake tube right before the MAF, and there's lots of oil in there, this is likely you problem.

It was low on oil so i dont think its a sensor, but ill check.
It didnt seem like it was consuming oil, ill check to see if it has oil on the throttle body to make sure.
i dont think it was 2 quarts low, cause now its over full, ill have to drain some out. might have been 1 quart low.
Guess its very possible its my PVC system, i havent put the pvc filter inline yet. but 1 quart in 2000 miles does that sound right?

the low oil light went off finally, now it over full.
Todd im not sure about the PVC lines by the air filter. I dont think mine has any pvc line coming into the intake untill the throttle body or in the intake what ever one it goes in at. thats the only one i know of.

You may want to consider going to the Greddy Catch can. This will help alleviate oil consumption issues. With FI, you need to make sure you have a well sealed sysem though, or you might lose boost.
