Default What stall and cam on DD???

hey guys,

I have a A4 trans am for my dd and want more power out of it.Ive been looking at a 231/237 or the ms4 but not shure at all what i want. My goals are for good power all around and for the car not to such down gas like there is no tommarrow.Alsowhat size stall and how does a stall work ive never had to deal with one before.Feel free to list any cam or stalls is greatly appreciated*.

So far i have the slp flow pac, maf, cat back, slp programer, and 373.

Thanks

I am running the G5X3 cam with bolt on's, and a Vig 3600 stall.. put down 403/405 @ the wheels.. Currently avg 20mpg this with 323s...

hmm, the only analogy i can think of for the feeling of a stall... ?

Have you ever been in a race boat? Or maybe a really fast boat? You know when you hit the throttle and the boat stands up on the water and never gets out of it's power band? well, that's how a stall feels...

Anyone else?

good luck..

it just takes more rpm to get the car to go....ex- 3500 stall (depending on what STR) might take 1500rpm to move and 2400 to keep up with traffic. there are a lot of variables though

Try driving a few cars with different setups. Some like big cam/stall combos for a DD, but you may not. Best to feel it first before dropping the cash. The guy who is installing my procharger right now has 3.90 gears and a yank 3600 stall. Even with the 3.90 gears and the high str on the yank 3600, it was too sloppy for me; I like extremely crisp throttle response.

What Kinda Power (hp And/or 1/4 Times) From A 3400 And A 228 Cam Only. Full Bolt On. Sorry To Jump Your Thread, But Im Sure You Want To Know, This Setup Is Supposedly A Good One For A Dd.

How's that working out for you? Do you think with a smaller stall, say 2600 or 2800rpm, the car would still be driveable/streetable?
