Default Heads and cam mph.

Everybody always talks about the rwhp numbers that the different combos make but how about a post about trap speeds with heads and cams.Or How many guys are over a 120 with say heads and cams and all the boltons?

Default Re: Heads and cam mph.

having people list their mph isn't going to be the best way to compare a heads/cam package. MPH is all about staying in your prime rpm ramge throughout the 1/4 mile. In an A4 for example, this is done by having the proper stall, gearing and shiftpoints in order to get the highest average amount of hp to the ground. weight, density altitude, wind speed, and wind direction also factor in. Driving skill plays a role too, but fortunately for auto guys, like myself, we just have to keep it to the floor and keep it straight. I'm sure there are other factors I'm leaving out as well.

btw, I'm over 120mph and I picked up roughly 7.5-8mph w/ my H/C package.
