I am putting in a comp 228/232 .588 .592 112 + 4 cam with TSP stage 2.5 5.3L heads. I have no dyno around here, so I am sending the computer into wait4meperformance for a tune to get it close. Where should I set the rev limiter at with this cam? Thanks
I would say 6800 or 7000 depending on how high you want to spin it. with 6600 you are still leaving some power on the table. If you want to be safe for now set it at 6600, and wait till you get it on the dyno to actually see where the power is at.
My setup peaks at 6400, and I have my shift-lite set to 6700, and the limiter above that.
With yours I would set the limiter to 6800. If you don't have a shift-lite get one and set it to 6600. That should be pretty close til you actually see the graph.
