Default Pushrod length question

I have a comp XER grind cam and 5.3 liter heads milled .010. I've been told that the base circle on the cam is .030 smaller. I would assume I would use a 7.40 pushrod. Is this correct??

Thanks for your help

Isn't the stock pushrod length 7.400"?

I have an XE-R grind and stock heads milled 0.015". I went with 7.350" pushrods. The 7.400" pushrods were preloading the lifter ~0.080". Comp recommends ~0.030". I wouldn't take anyone's word on this... do it right and check the preload on your setup. In fact the base circle is different between my intake and exhaust lobes on my cam.
