getting knock retard now!
<strong>jsut installed my .563lift 224 at 50 duration and 112 lobe sepration cam and had it running since yesterday and got on it a bit and 1t lit the tires up in 1st but kinda dogged out in 2nd and my scan master showed i got 3.9 degrees of knock retard at 1 point but seemed to be running way fat i didnt get the maf translator in yet to try and tune back some of the fuel curve but just wondering what might be casuing that? it has kinda a slight ticky lifter sound to it im gonna check out my rocker arm torque again and and make sure that aint it or an exhaust leak casue the car i had dialed down to 0.0 knock at WOT before i took it apart but i may have loose rocker arm or somethign thats dring the sensors nuts any insiht would be most appreciated</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">You cant count knock retard after wheel spin because the spin in first doesnt get the vehicle up to the right speed for you to pull second gear and not overload the motor in second. Think about what im saying, it makes sense. Any well tuned motor can get knock if loaded excessively by being in wrong gear at too low a mph.You need to test for knock on a properly executed 1/4 mile pass. Noise in valvetrain if bad enough could cause knock readings also. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
