Is a LS6 cam plug and play?
So I’m interested in putting a LS6 cam in. I've heard you don't need a tune necessarily or hardened pushrods, springs etc. some one educate me on power gains (20rwhp?)

Yes it is, just have to raise rev limiter up to 6400 or 6500 and change valve springs and push rods. Peaple will suggest to you to run 7.45 push rods because LS6 valves are a little longer but the 3 cars I have done went faster and felt better with 7.40 push rods.Good Luck

You will need LS6 valve springs at a minimum, and a set of 7.425 pushrods are what alot of guys are using with the smaller base circle.
I would get the limiter set at 6600 and shift at 6500.
You don't really need the tune to drive the car, but it will run better with a good tune.

The hotcam and the LS6 cam are quite different. The LS6 cam will idle and feel like stock with a little more power and doesn't require a tune. The Hotcam will lope and surge at idle and buck at low RPM, but will smooth out with a good tune.
