Well, there have been some other things done to the car while in between setups...I'm hoping for more than another 10rwhp...

Also has anyone heard of the 2002 Bottom end pitting? any failures with the cast pistons in 2002? This is what a buddy of mine has told me, so he warned about doing a cam swap.

Just so you know a well matched combo can make 450rwhp with a smaller cam. I put down 452rwhp with a 224/228 581/588 110 lsa cam and a set of ported 241 heads threw a 12 bolt with 4.30 gears and a heavy Denny's nitrous ready driveshaft. A stock rear with stock gears and a stock driveshaft would have put down at least 475rwhp. I do plan on going with a bigger cam soon but you need to match up the rest of your parts to match your cam

You made 452 WHP with a 224/228 110 LSA?

how much low end did you lose because of your LSA?

So if that is the case. what would put me @ 470 WHP with a bigger cam and what heads to go along with them? I just keep getting greedier and greedier with power.

I want to run a cam in the low 230 intake range and mid to high 230 exhaust range...

If I went with a texas speed head and cam package, what cam I match up to achieve the 450RWHP minimum mark... 470 RWHP is fine too!!

The only reason I want a cheap had and cam setup is because I have 85,XXX or so mile son my motor now and I plan on running this setup for only a good 20,000-25,000 miles, until I get a new block and another set of new heads and another cam. SO this will be a temporary setup for a year to an estimated 1.5 years..

TSP 233/239 with stock bottom end with 101,000 miles, stock heads, stock intake, unported throttle body and no pulley: 406rwhp and 379rwtq, my vote is for that one

I want 450 WHP though... a fellow on page 2 said he made that with a 224 228 cam. I know with a good set of heads and a pulley I will make about 440 or so RWHP based on what you wrote. But that still wont be good enough..

also what rearend are you running stock 10 bolt or something else.

With a good head selection to compliment either cam, you should have know problem seeing 450+ rwhp. Of course you are still going to need a really good tuner.
