Default TR224 112 cam users inside please

Thunder grinds 4 degrees advance into their cams, my question for you all is... Did you install your TR224 112 strait up (+4 advance) or retard it any?? What will my powerband look like installing the cam strait up or retarding it? Will the difference be very noticable? Also, is your car a street/drag car? Your impressions of the advance/retard? My car is mostly a street car so I'd like the keep the low end, but I read Patrick G's posts and I'm confused on whether I should install the cam strait up or retard it. Any advice would be very helpful, Thanks!! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

VT,

As for the low end with a 224ish cam, I think gears will do more to help than really anything else. Of course gears will make it harder to hook up.

Raughammer went 10.80s with a 222/222 with 4 degreeas of advance and 10.60s with a 224/224 with 4 degrees of advance. I think I would leave it at 4 degrees advanced.

I installed it straight up at 4 degree's.I dyno'd before and after, switching from 220 on 114 and the power difference was 5200rpm and up the 224 Cam pulled an extra 15hp and 15lb torque more to 6600rpms.
