I have heard some stories of guys that have had sleeves dropped after resleeving with dry sleeves. We have an engine that is indicating slight signs of coolant burning out the exhaust as well as tested positive for hydrocarbons in the coolant system. We think it is a dropped sleeve. Interested to here others that have experienced simliar symptoms and solutions.

is it pressurizing the coolant system? if there is water coming out the tail pipes, Id say It dropped one. I had a buddy who had one drop, and it wasnt pretty.
Pull the heads off, and feel the deck surface. If you feel a ridge, you know what happened <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

If it starts burping coolant...you dropped a sleeve. The cooling system will pressurize and push coolant past the cap, into and out of the overflow tank. Pull the heads...it might just be a leaky headgasket. If the sleeve really dropped you can feel a ridge with your finger.
