LARGEST cam without missfire codes (stock tuning)

Just like it says, Even with a 112 or 114 I wondering what can be gotten away with for emissions testing reasons. T.I.A. for any replies!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

TR 220 on 114=I never threw a code.
TR 224 on 112=Will throw a code on cold startup(misfire)All I do is keep it revved to 1500 rpms for about 30 seconds on cold start and the engine light never comes on.Any other time(hot starts)=no problems.

I have a Comp Cams 224/224 .581/.581 112lsa cam on my 01 M6. I have never thrown a misfire code because of the cam. (Only time I threw misfire codes was when I broke 2 valve springs resulting in many misfires on 3 cylinders.)

I believe some ls1edit tuning will eliminate the misfire codes in the event you do throw misfire codes.

It all depends on how you drive the car. If I let my cam in sig idle too long from a cold start, it will set the SES light for a P0300 code. It's an XE profile even, which helps it idle better.
