Installing head studs with shortblock in F-car??

Title says it all- is it possible to leave the short block in an F-car, install head studs, and get the heads back on?? Methinks it's probably not possible, but ya never know 'til ya ask (or try it yourself, but asking doesn't require dropping the cash on the studs before you get an answer... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> ).

I'm getting ready to do a H/C setup and would like to get better cylinder head clamping while I'm doing it (may run a modest shot on the motor after the H/C and want to err on the side of caution).

Thanks for any input.

There is actually plenty of room and it is pretty easy to do.

I'll second that reply. I've pulled my heads and installed them with the shortblock still in the car and did not have to remove my ARP head studs from the block. Went in/out no problem.
