Default What lifters with this setup?

cam kit (G5X1 cam) from LG motorsports... along with a set of AFR 205cc heads...

What lifters should i order? also is there anything else im forgetting that i should order?

hey buddy i didnt know you were looking at the g5x1 cam...I think I may change to that too...

wow..


id go with the ls7 lifters..thats what I have, they are very nice and were an improvement over the other lifters GM made...

They held 7k RPMS, that's all I can say lol

I think u can get about the same thing from TSP for less money. I got a pored LS6 oil pump when I did my cam change. I would stay with the stock lifter unless u get the caddy lifter. Also I would have the AFRs milled to 62 cc. and use .040 comtic gaskets. and AFR head studs. If u mill the heads dont get to big of cam unless u fly cut. 224 228 will fit. I hope.

The LS7 lifters are now the GM OEM stock replacement for our cars. No original LS1 lifters are made anymore according to GM.

Also look at the Melling oil pump from Matt@SDPC.
