Default Yellow stuff under oil cap?

My low oil light came on tonight so I went to a gas station and purchased some oil. When I went to fill it up I unscrewed the oil cap and when I pulled it off I noticed that there was some yellow stuff lining the inside of the cap. Looked kind of like yogurt. My engine has not been worked on since August so anyone have any ideas what this stuff could be? When I got home I checked it again no more had accumulated. Should I be worrying?

Nope, I wouldn't worry. My car's had that crap there since day 1.

I was worried about that too...I was a little low on coolant, and I found that under my cap, so I started getting worried...

But then I posted and a lot of people said they have had it from day one... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

That yellow stuff is simply moisture condensing. If you start having major amounts on the dipstick, then I'd worry.
