I'll know in about 3 weeks how the LS6 CNC heads work with the Hot Cam ... providing the vendor gets the heads in <img border="0" alt="[boring]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_zzz.gif" />

Sounds like a good combo to me! I doubt you would be dissappointed with them anyway.

I think that combo would work fine, but those heads are a little overkill for that cam. A good set of stage 1 LS1 heads would complement it better. Our stage 1 heads are on special now in the sponsor section. $1100

Been doing some research and talking with people on the same topic and I'm hearing what others have mentioned - ie Stage 2, or ported LS6 heads are kind of overkill for the Hotcam with it's relatively mild lift and ramps.

I dont think i understand what you guys mean by overkill. Will the Heads actually hurt howerspower or help horsepower. I will not get them if it will hurt horsepower. So if it will hurt horsepower what exactually do Ineed to do get a bigger cam. The responses are appreciated greatly thanks

I thought that the CNC LS6 heads done by LPE for GM were made for the ASA cam and their other low lift cams thats why they peak at like .550 lift. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

it will not hurt horsepower, you could make more with a larger cam. the ls6 heads flow really well you cant go wrong with them. they are not really overkill in that you want the best flowing head you can get. but in relation to a stage 1 they are twice the money and you probably wont make much more power than a stage one with them but you wont loose power either. and with the 10.8:1 compression (if they are the assembled version) then you will pick up some power there as well.

You may actually loose some midrange and lowend with that much flow and no cam to compliment it. You are deffinatly better off mathing the port work to the cam you use or vice versa than to go too big.
