Default LS6 heads or 5.3L heads?

I want max power out of my heads/cam setup that should be complete in January. I am at the stage of getting either TEA's 5.3 liter head, or getting some LS6 heads stage 2 ported. Besides the added compression advantage of the 5.3, which should benefit me more? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> Also take into consideration that I have the TR224/114, and don't want to replace it with a larger cam.

You could get the 5.3 heads to flow plenty for that cam and would make serious HP. The runner design on the LS6 heads are better but for the added price and about 5 10 hp is it worth it? Maybe with a cam to match or more CID the LS6 heads would be worth it. By the way our custom hand ported heads are on special now in the sponsor section. Stage2 $1600

ls-6 heads will flow more 15-20 cfm but will cost more about $1000.

I vote for the 5.3L. I have a set of ARE 5.3L with an additional valve job from west coast cylinder heads, and they flow about 5-10 cfm less than the ls6 heads. .600 310cfm 239cfm at 28in Not worth the added expense in my opinion.
