Default Too much head?

Got your attention huh. Anyways I just bought a set of used stg3 ls6 style heads(patriot) and I hear is over exagerrating. Well I'm sure that TFS heads flow a lil more, but people are using them on stock cubes and making very good #'s. I'm deciding to with the vengeance cam or a G5x4(vegeance right now has the edge) but is this too much with this choice of cam.

Great thread title.

Um you are gona be leaving a little torque on the table with those heads, but you will pick up some good top end.

I don't think it would matter that much on the low, since I have a 4k stall. Right?

Check out page 4 post 61 by Mamo. I think he explains it really well right here in this post.

So yes I think it is possible to overhead a 346 but it depends where you want to make your power. Im no expert on this but my guess would be with a larger flowing head you would see slower port velocities until you reached higher RPM which would kill you low end torque.

i doubt you can put too good of a head on the LS1 mainly because if you have the money to spend on heads that flow that good you will have the money to bore and stroke it and go bigger anyways
