What is the optimal duration split for a LS1?

Default What is the optimal duration split for a LS1?

Assume AFR or ported LS6 heads and high flow headers/exhaust. Traditional (+4-6), even or reverse?

man there are so many variables. It's not all about the duration split it's not even about the cam. It's about the whole combo. What gaskets you will run, what hp you want, small cam, big cam, big lope, small lope, high-end, mid-range, low-end torque, etc....

That's like asking what car to get. Ford, chevy, pontiac, etc... it could be a taurus or an 03+cobra.

Like what was said above, its a lot more to take into consideration. Its a well known shop that uses AFR heads with their cams. Some of their cams have a 4* split, some have and 8*split.
