Is it possible and what would it take to build a natural asperated motor that will break 500RWHP and be able to handle FI, for later, and at the same time pass emissions? I am looking for a solid starting point to throw my money towards.

Not in an A4 unless you are going to go with the 436 ci block. Even then, emissions would be a problem. Why not build a 422 or 427 to handle a decent shot of nitrous. Much cheaper than adding a turbo or blower. You wouldn't be able to drive a 427 with blower around town without having major traction issues.

 

With a 422 or 427, do you recommend a big bore or stroker? Also, what would you expect it to make through an A-4 at the wheels, with a missions compliant set-up? I am looking at redoing my registration to another state for emissions exempt reasons, but for now I need to look this route. This is my daily driver.
