does 02 T/A LS1 have rev limiter
So are you saying a person would have a hard time blowing the motor by over revving it?The reason i ask is because i was showing off doing a burnout and when it shifted to second(A4) gear it kinda puked out on me.Next time i'm thinking about leaving it in 1st and going for it.I just don't want to blow it up.
I was doing a nice burnout until it shifted.

I am not saying you cant hurt your engine smacking it off of the rev limiter, but it is not exactly good for the engine. Most people hurt their engines by manually over-reving (M6- missing a shift).

yes@6200rpm.try driving on the freeway or 1/4mi.wack the gas to the floor and raise it little pass the 6200rpm and hear it bounce the rev. limiter.or just in your drive way put it in neutral and rev it pass 6200.hope that helps.
