Default New Heads/Cam, When To Tune?

I'm having a new set of heads and a cam installed in my Trans Am. The motor is also being rebuilt with forged internals. It's a stalled A4. What I need to know is, does the car need to be tuned right away before driving it, or can it be driven about 30 miles to the shop thats going to dyno-tune the car? I dont want to do anything to the new motor, like washing out the rings. All advice is appreciated

If you arent swapping for larger injectors it wont flood out. You should be just fine to drive it 30 miles.

They will most likely be 32# injectors. Would this pose a problem?

Yes without the IFR table tuned for the new injectors it will dump way too much fuel in and will foul out the plugs real quick. I did it with 42's they fouled and started major backfire within 2 minutes of running.

I would drive it to the tuner with the stock injectors and just swap the injectors in their parking lot. You could probably pull it off with just 32's though.
