your cam card will tell you that.... you cant just do what everyone else does....

my cam card says .020 but i didenbt no if that was hot or cold

Dont quote me forsure on this, but every solid roller I have ran gave the lash setting "hot".

You need to warm up your engine and set the lash at .020, your card setting. Then check the lash when the car is cold to get a cold setting for your car. The general rule here is tighten up .010 for aluminum block/head engine, so we would set yours at .010 and start it and warm it up for a hour or more, then lash to .020 while the engine is hot.

That's too much lash to be a cold lash setting. Set one pair of rockers when it's hot to spec and then check them after it's cold. That'll give you your "cold lash". Set all of them to that clearance once you know what it is.
