#7 cylinder and steam vent tubes???
Does anyone think that there is any correlation with #7 cylinder nuking and no steam tubes on the LS6 and Fast intakes??? It seems odd that the original LS1 design required the steam relief tubes. I thought I saw a thread a while back that somebody ran a rubber line on top of the intake so that the back of the heads could be purged of air and/or steam. It just seems like too many guys are wiping out #7 and there has to be a reason. How about some input!!!

Steam venting
It's not supposed to be an issue if you burp the heads.
However, 4-corner steam venting is never a bad idea. Since the last valve on the odd bank is an exhaust (in #7), I'm venting the rear of my heads on the 7.0L , just to be on the safe side.
On the even side, #2 is in the same situation, but it's vented via the front steam pipe or we could possibly be having issues there!
For what it's worth, I've noticed on some of the newer trucks, the old LS1-type steam tubes are back in use. I've seen this on several GMCs and two Chevys, all were 5.3 or larger.
