Default LS1 or LS6 block?

I have a 2002 Camaro SS. |The vehicle is an M6. One of the SLP cars #10189. Pretty late build number I have been told the car may have an L|S6 block. How do I factually determine this? Or can someone tell me for certain? Thanks.

Thank you. Don't really care, just like to know. What differences if any are there in the two blocks?

might be pretty much the same but id still prefer to have the ls6 block, id say its enough of a difference to look into it to know for your own sake which block you have. Depending on how high a power level you go to it could make some difference

ok man, lol. The LS6 block wont hold anymore power than a plain old ls1 block.

What is with all the LS6 hype on this site? If I didnt know any better id be trying to be LS6 powered car over an LS7 powered car after reading around here.
