Default Pushrod Question

My new pushrods seem to have one end that is hardened. Can someone tell me if that end goes into the rocker or into the lifter cup. Thanks.

This is just a guess but I would think the hardened end goes on the rocker arm end since that would be where most all of the strength would be needed

.

The rocker arm pocket has a little more movement, so as said, a guess.

I know my BBC's with Jessel's, when u order a custom set they have 2 different ball shapes, 1 for the lifter, 1 for the rocker cup, but never heard they were different material.
