Question valve size

I am having some 6.0 heads ported, will keeping the stock valve size rob a large amount of power?

On an engine your size, yes.

I really don't know exact flow differences, but with the bigger bore you have you would be leaving at least 20-30 rwhp on the table. Bigger valves are not that much, I would think they would be well worth the $$. Call one of the sponsors and see how much they would charge to switch them out, and what there opinion is of the power difference.

I think I have talked to you on the phone before. If you put that 402 in around the first of the year last year. My name is Keith and I had just bought a resleeved block. I think you may have been helping Tommy put a ring and pinion in his car. I know T. very well myself. Next time you talk to him, tell him that someone told you to call him T-bucket.

Love the Shineyham video, Tommy showed it to me on the net.... I LMAO

Thanks for the info! That was me at Jonny's shop. I was using stock 5.7 heads on my 402, the car made pitfull power, fell off to early. I am sure ported 6.0 heads will be better than stock 5.7 heads, even if the valve size is stock.

You will see an increase in power for sure. Make sure and mill the heads if you need to, to keep your compression where you will need it. Have fun.!!
